We are delighted to confirm that Mrs Susan Lewis and Mr Tristram Jenkins from Hereford Diocese are this year’s recipients of Maundy Money. This year King Charles will hand out maundy money for the first time as a monarch. The service will take place on Thursday, 6 April, at York Minster.

A decision by Hereford's Diocesan Synod to disinvest in fossil fuels

At Saturday's meeting of the Diocesan Synod, the Diocese of Hereford made a firm commitment to disinvest in fossil fuel funds. Sam Pratley, Diocesan Secretary, said: "We wanted to make it clear that this is an ethical commitment rather than a primarily financial decision, and part of the Diocesan journey towards our stated goal of achieving carbon net-zero by 2030."
