The Parochial Church Council of Nash and Boraston has received financial support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to repair St John the Baptist Church, Nash. The money will help complete work on the 13th-century tower, 16th-century spire and the south nave roof. Thanks to National Lottery players, the project aims to remove St John the Baptist Church from the Heritage at Risk Register and secure its long-term future as a place of worship and as a welcoming space for local people and visitors.
Our choirs and bell-ringers are pulling the community into the heart of worship and taking church on the road.
News from Hereford Diocese of the latest appointments: October 2024 to Spring 2025
As we prepare to start the season of advent we reflect on the many traditions across churches in our diocese highlighting the ways in which local communities come together to celebrate Christmas.
On Saturday evening over 300 people gathered for a stunning light display and lantern parade at Much Wenlock Priory, marking the 60th anniversary of the historic site's transfer from Wenlock Estates to English Heritage's custodianship.
As part of the King’s Birthday honours, it has been announced this morning that the volunteers of St Peter’s Church and the Hub in Peterchurch has received a King’s Award for Voluntary Service for their support of its local community. This is the only award this year for Herefordshire and so marks a very significant achievement.
