The Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend was a joyous celebration marked by many churches and communities across Hereford Diocese. The historic weekend saw flags flying and church bells ringing throughout the counties.
It's a Monday night in central Hereford over at St Peter's Church in the city centre; the church has opened its doors to welcome those attending their weekly Hosts Gathering. This is a support group coordinated and hosted by the church for people across the city who are hosting or seeking to support recently arrived refugees from Ukraine.

An ancient yew tree in the churchyard of St Bartholomew's Church in Much Marcle, Herefordshire is one of 70 ancient trees which have been dedicated to Her Majesty in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee.
Two people from Hereford Diocese have been nominated by the Bishop of Hereford to receive Royal Maundy Gifts from The Queen in recognition of their exemplary Christian service to church and community over many years
We are seeing friendships blossom and people asking questions. We are trying to keep people engaged in faith conversations without expecting them to come to a Holy Communion service every Sunday.

Today marks the 100th weekly video message from The Bishop of Hereford, The Rt Revd Richard Jackson. The first message was recorded and broadcast to followers of the diocesan social media channels on 20 March 2020, just two years ago, right before the first lockdown across the UK.
The Diocese of Hereford has got behind a Church of England, West Midlands campaign, calling for churches to take a more sustainable approach to flower arranging and stop using floral foam (also known as oasis) in church flower displays.
The UK Government scheme requires every refugee to have a named host offering accommodation before being granted permission to enter the country. This means anyone wishing to offer a home needs to know people in Ukraine - this is a challenge
