Emily Hill took to the stand at General Synod last weekend to give her maiden speech. Emily who is 21 years old and a trainee nurse, is one of the lay representatives for Hereford Diocese and the youngest ever member to be elected to the General Synod. Last weekend saw the return of the Church Tent to the Three Counties Show at Malvern Showground in Worcestershire. Visitors were able to enjoy a fresh cup of tea or coffee along with a bacon butty, panini or home-made cake, whilst taking part in free family activities and take time out from the crowds.
At the first ever Hay Pride earlier this month, a group of local church members took part in the procession and other celebrations.
