The next team member we meet in our two-minute interview is Joanne Gibbon.
Joanne lives in the beautiful Shropshire Hills with her husband, son, dogs and chickens. She has worked for the Diocese of Hereford for more than 12 years as PA to a variety of people. Currently, she is a PA to the Archdeacon of Ludlow and the Diocesan Secretary.
I: Hello. Thanks for taking part in the 2-min interview. Our first question is a good one. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
JG: This is probably cheating but I would like to go on a world cruise. There are so many places I haven’t seen, possibly because I hate flying. It would have to be a luxury cruise, of course, well I can dream!
I: Yes, you can dream and it sounds amazing. What skill would you like to master?
JG: I regret never learning to play a musical instrument. I love singing so it would have to be something I could sing along to. The harp really appeals to me, it sounds so beautiful. As it’s a bit big to move around, the guitar is probably more practical. Who knows, it’s never too late.
I: Today is the day to learn something new. What do you enjoy about working at Hereford Diocese?
JG: I know everyone probably says this but it really is the lovely people I work with. They all work very hard with less resource but are always willing to help out and I feel we really do pull together as a team.
I: Thank you very much to share a little about you with us.
