Get to know...David Morris

The next member of the team we meet in our new two-minute interview series is David Morris.

David is the Programme Manager for Strategic Projects at Hereford Diocese and works in the same office space as the communications team. He joined the central Hereford Diocese team in 2018 prior to which he worked as a senior director for a housing association. David has lived in Hereford for most of his adult life and is married with two older teenage Boys.

Here's what he told us when we shared with us:

I: Hello. Thanks for taking part in the 2-min interview. We're going in with an easy question - If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

DM: I would love to go on a cruise somewhere. I have only been on one but it was wonderful to wake up in a different place every day. My choice would be the Caribbean but my wife would prefer Norway or Iceland so that’s probably where we would end up. (I hope she's not reading this!!)

I: What is your favourite genre of book or film?

DM: It's difficult to identify just one genre of films I like watching but I'm leaning towards thriller or crime-based films. Having said that, I love to settle down with my family and some good chocolate or a bag of popcorn to watch a wide variety of films from Paddington to Dunkirk to the odd rom-com (not my choice, obviously!).

I: What do you enjoy most about working at Hereford Diocese?

DM: It’s a huge privilege to work with such a caring, committed and passionate team. Despite the challenges of COVID, this is an exciting time as projects start to emerge across the Diocese all aimed at growing the Kingdom of God in this area.

I: What is your favourite book in the Bible?

DM: That’s a really tough one!! It really can depend on where I’m at but I love Acts. It’s so amazing to read of the growth of the early church and the gospel being shared with the gentile community  (which we are part of) for the first time.

I: Thank you for being part of the 2min interview.
