A newly-formed children's choir at St Thomas Cantilupe Church of England School in Hereford has enjoyed another milestone celebration this Christmas with Choir Church. They were supported by the ministry team at West Hereford and have spent the past term exploring themes of light and dark as well as learning traditional choral music.
This year’s Church of England Christmas film follows one person through life’s journey – with a powerful invitation to everyone to come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
I have made it clear that in our diocese all are welcome. All views and life experiences are to be treated with care and respect. Our unity, love and mutual care is one of the principal ways in which we commend the Gospel to our communities.

A new food bank opened earlier this month run by a group of churches working together in Pontesbury as demand for help continues to rise. The UK’s food poverty rate is already among the highest in Europe. Despite being the sixth richest country in the world, millions are struggling to access the food they need.
It is with great sadness that we heard the news this evening (Thursday 8 September 2022) of the death of Her Majesty, The Queen. She has been a constant in our lives for eight decades and has been steadfast in her service to our country and The Commonwealth.
Emily Hill took to the stand at General Synod last weekend to give her maiden speech. Emily who is 21 years old and a trainee nurse, is one of the lay representatives for Hereford Diocese and the youngest ever member to be elected to the General Synod. She spoke passionately during the assisted dying debate before a packed house of representatives.
