As part of the Church of England’s Net Zero Carbon Programme the Diocese has been awarded £58,850 from the Net Zero Carbon Quick Wins Grant Fund to be distributed by the end of 2025.
The Quick Wins Grant Fund aims to support churches and church halls in delivering small scale NZC works in churches by providing dioceses with funds which they can distribute through grant to parishes to help support local net zero projects. Small grants will be available to help churches with projects such as new LED lighting, pew heaters, insulation, or to update their electric supply.
The maximum grant is £10,000.
The first deadline for receiving grant applications is 8th November 2024. Applications will be considered by a sub-committee of the Diocesan Advisory Committee on 27th November 2024 and applicants will be notified whether or not their application has been successful by 6th December 2024. There will be further application periods during 2025.
Please note that you should have the necessary Faculty or other relevant consent in place before applying and we do not accept retrospective applications. Please ensure that you have completed the Church of England's Energy Footprint Tool before applying.
If applications for grant funding exceed the funds available, the sub-committee of the DAC will award funding according to a rating system, which can be viewed here.
