Agricultural Chaplains have been a feature of church life for almost 40 years and offer a focused approach to the needs of the land-based sector, helping the church to engage with this vital component of rural life. Operating through the Hereford Diocese and the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit, Borderlands Rural Chaplains work in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Eastern Powys.
You can find out more about Borderlands on their website.
I am on the committee of the Agricultural Chaplains' Association, most of my chaplaincy role takes place in the Lichfield Diocese where I am also a chaplain for Ministry @ Work. This is because I work full time for the National Farmers' Union as the Staffordshire County Adviser.
I do link in with Borderlands Chaplaincy in the Hereford Diocese, but my main role in Hereford Diocese is as a Reader in the Condover Benefice and as Secretary to the Hereford Diocesan Readers' Association.
