The Church of Saint John the Baptist: founded in the 12th century, rebuilt in the 17th century. Serving God and the community of Craven Arms into the 21st century.
Our church stands in a glorious setting amongst the hills of south Shropshire, adjacent to Stokesay Castle, one of the jewels of English Heritage's crown. We aim to keep the church open for visitors to enjoy in line with the opening hours of the castle.

On the Second and Fourth Sundays, the service of Holy Communion with Hymns is held at Stokesay at 9.45am. The Fifth Sunday is a joint Benefice service - see service poster in Notices section for details).
"The parish of Craven Arms is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Hereford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
