This year’s Advent and Christmas theme focuses on the first and greatest Christmas gift of all: the gift of God being born as one of us in Jesus Christ.

It’s that time of year when worshipping communities across the diocese are starting to plan their Christmas events and services. The Church of England launched its 2026 Christmas campaign – The Gift of Christmas.

What to do now

  1. Visit the Church of England’s website for details on the national branding, resources and more.
  2. Log-in to the Resources hub of AChurchNearYou.com for logos and other branding resources.
  3. Make a note to add your onsite and online Advent and Christmas services on AChurchNearYou.com, using an Advent or Christmas tag. The website features a ‘Get Ready For Christmas’ guide to help you update your church’s webpage.
