A message from Archdeacon Fiona Gibson

We are delighted to be able to announce that, following advertising and interview, the Rev’d Dr Sally Wallace-Jones has been offered the combined post of Rector of the Stottesdon Benefice and Rural Church Missioner in the Severn Borders Deanery, and has accepted. 

Sally is currently Vicar of Hartshead, Hightown, Roberttown and Scholes in the Diocese of Leeds, and prior to that served in a large rural multi-parish benefice in the Diocese of Norwich. She is very much looking forward to leading the parishes of the Stottesdon Benefice in the next phase of your life and witness and to working with clergy and laity across the Severn Borders Deanery as Rural Church Missioner. The interview panel was unanimous that God is calling Sally to this combined role, and were delighted when she accepted the offer.

Please be praying for Sally’s current parishes as she prepares to leave them, and for Sally and her husband John as they prepare to move to Stottesdon and start this new chapter for them and for the parishes and wider deanery.
