Are you the person God is calling to be the next Rector of the Condover Benefice and Rural Church Missioner in the Condover Deanery?

The United Benefice of Condover, Ryton, Acton Burnell, Frodesley and Pitchford lies just 5 miles south of Shrewsbury and 7 miles north-east of Church Stretton and the Shropshire Hills Natural Landscape.  A rural setting that’s home to commuters, farmers, young families and retired people.

We are praying for someone with the gifts, enthusiasm and calling to:

  • Inspire us in mission and help us grow in faith.
  • Help us develop our worship pattern and be more accessible to the wider community.
  • Widen our appeal to younger families and children
  • Nurture and develop the gifts and talents of lay people.
  • Support the staff and children in the local primary school, helping them to flourish.
  • Support smaller rural churches to develop clear missional plans for the future of every church community and building in the Deanery.

All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-appointment checks, including Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists clearance.

We are committed to equal opportunities and diversity and welcome applications from all suitably qualified clergy.  As UKME/GMH individuals are currently under-represented within our Diocese we would particularly welcome applications from these candidates.
