Get to know...Judy Pearce

Judy Pearce

The next team member we meet in our two-minute interview is Judy Pearce

Judy is one of the familiar faces to greet people when they arrive at the central diocesan office in Hereford. She has worked for the diocese for nearly 18 years so is very well known. Judy has family in Hereford including a daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren who she enjoys seeing regularly.

I: Hello. Thanks for taking part in the 2-min interview. Our first question is nice and easy -  Where would you most like to visit?

JP: The North Cape of Norway to see the Northern Lights.  I think that would be amazing.  I have been to Norway and loved the scenery and fjords but have not seen the lights yet!

I:  I highly recommend the experience, they are a stunning sight of nature. So second question, what skill would you most like to master?

JP:  Gardening! I love pottering in my garden but would love to be better at growing and nurturing plants.  Monty Don has given me many tips, but still, my gardening doesn’t seem to reach his standards.

I: You're setting your standards pretty high but it sounds like you're getting expert advice. Next question, what is your favourite book of the Bible?

JP: That's easy, it is Psalms as it is full of encouraging verses for us all that can encourage us through good and hard times.  When I read them I always find encouragement.

I: Very true Judy!  Thank you very much.  Last and final question that we ask everyone. What do you enjoy about working at Hereford Diocese?

JP: That's also easy - it's such a lovely team of people.  I like to think I can be of help to those from parishes who contact the Diocese and the work is so varied, you don’t know what each day will bring.

I: Thank you for sharing that with us, Judy.  We're always happy to see your warm smile and welcome in the afternoons.
