Diocesan Day of Prayer for Generosity and Stewardship 2025
Bishop Richard has called the diocese to a "Day of Prayer for Stewardship and God's Provision" for Monday, 12th May, to pray earnestly and collectively for God to move by his Holy Spirit to provide the resources we need for the mission he has called us to in 2025 and beyond.
Resources for a service for the Order for Gathered Worship, including Prayers for Stewardship and God's Provision, which churches can use on the day is available for use. Bishop will be using this around the diocese on Monday. It can be downloaded here.
The Bishop will be joining the following congregations around the diocese on the day for anyone interested in following, all are welcome:
11 am | St Peter's, Hereford: Open Prayer
12 noon | St Paul's, Tupsley: 30 minutes Noonday Prayer
1.30 pm | All Saints Hereford: A brief service and period of Open Prayer
2.30 pm | Moorcourt Chapel, Pembridge: Prayer Meeting
3.30 pm | Prayer in Ludlow area tbc
5 pm | Sutton Hill: Compline
7 pm | St Luke's, Ironbridge: Compline
8.30 pm | St James's, Cardington: Open prayer
For those in Hereford City looking to participate, All Saints Church will offer a brief, 15-minute service at lunchtime starting at 1:30 p.m. This will be followed by an afternoon of resources for private prayer, reflection, and meditation until 3:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and stay as long as they wish.
