Bishop Richard will lead a small group of colleagues and church leaders from our Diocese on a missional visit to Tanzania to join our partner diocese of Masasi for its centenary celebrations.
It is an opportunity to share in worship and fellowship and strengthen the longstanding partnership between our two dioceses.
“I am very much looking forward to meeting the people, seeing some of the places and joining in the centenary celebration. I am most grateful to Bishop James for the kind invitation he has extended. I pray that this visit will be an opportunity to learn from the faithful witness of our brothers and sisters in Christ in Tanzania, which may inspire us in proclaiming the good news afresh.”
We invite churches across the diocese to pray for Bishop Richard and the group as they prepare to travel, and for our brothers and sisters in Masasi as they mark this important milestone.
In this week’s video, the Bishop reflects on the Archbishop of Canterbury’s visit, celebrates the many ministries across the Diocese, and looks ahead to a season of renewal as we build on the legacy of our 1350th anniversary year.
