A wayside church with surprising carvings, and a warm and friendly welcome. Public worship on Sundays has been paused until at least the end of this month, due to the increased risk currently of virus transmission. The church remains open for private prayer, but do please take great care, and follow the rules listed below.

Please Take Care - these are the rules that apply to all our services during the present situation :-

As far as possible avoid touching door furniture and other surfaces as you enter and leave the church, and make use of the hand gel provided. Please either sign with your contact details, or - if you have the NHS app - scan the QR code. We are required to maintain 2 metre social distancing in church (which is further than you might imagine), and masks should be worn unless you have a personal medical reason for not doing so. Sadly, we are not permitted to sing, so our hymns will be sung for us. If you should show symptoms of Covid within the week following this service, or are tested and found to have contracted the disease, please inform us straight away by contacting either Revd Bill or a church warden. The “rule of 6” does not apply to church services, but does apply as you make your way to and from the service, so please respect this. If we take care, we can make sure our churches remain safe spaces.

The parish of Middleton-in-Chirbury is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer or PSO The Diocese of Hereford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adult Services.
