St Michael's, Silvington, in the Stottesdon Group of Churches
This is the church in a farmyard! A mediaeval church building, surrounded by the activity of farming that is the mainstay of the local economy, St Michael's is set on the lower slopes of the Titterstone Clee Hill. This is a tiny parish, but the church is well-loved and well-used by the community for its life events as well as for regular worship.
There are two regular services a month:
Second Sunday in the Month: Evening Prayer (Common Worship) with hymns at 6:30 pm
Fourth Sunday in the Month: Holy Communion (common Worship) with hymns at 9 am
When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, there is generally a Group service held in one of our churches.
Extra Service: on Sunday June 5th there is a Group Service of Songs of Praise at St Mary's, Stottesdon, to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen.
Safeguarding: this church upholds the right of all to share in church activities in safety; see our Safeguarding notice on the menu to the left.
