General Synod Elections 2021

These are the election statements for the candidates standing for election to the General Synod, for Hereford Diocese.

What is the process for elections?

Voting commences on Friday 17th September and ends at 11:59 pm on Friday 8th October.  To be eligible to take part in the voting you must be on the Electoral Register, for which you need to have been a member of your Deanery Synod at 6 am on 13th July 2021 (dissolution of the previous General Synod).  If you were elected to your Deanery Synod after that date then you do not qualify.

How do I vote?

All those on the Electoral Register will be issued with an email giving instructions on how to vote using the election portal; these election statements and other information about the candidates will be available on the portal.  Those without access to email will be posted voting forms, statements and information on how to proceed.  An email will be sent to eligible voters by CIVICA.

If you believe you are eligible to vote but do not receive this information by either email or post, then please contact the Presiding Officer:

Diocesan Secretary,
