The Church believes that all that we experience (our environment) is a gift from God and that we have a duty of care both to creation and to eachother. The post of Missioner for Environment, Agriculture & Rural Affairs, is part of the commitment of the diocese towards that duty of care. It is made real through the Church's own carbon reduction and environmental policies, its pastoral care towards those who work in the land-based industries, and the training and support it gives to other Christians who are making their own contribution towards preserving and enhancing our environment.
